This door from our range with three glass apertures particularly suits wide openings to ensure the width of glass looks proportionally correct when the door is made. We have fitted this door into many barn conversions and renovation projects with clients favouring this style which allows more natural light to come into their home.
The construction method is that of superior quality where the stiles and rails of the door are mortised, tennoned and wedged together to form a frame as the basic foundation. This frame provides a stable network of timbers skilfully machined to house the vertical planks. These planks are tongued with a bead mould or chamfer for decoration and are screwed and pelleted to hold them in place.
We supply Toughened Double Glazed Safety Glass to all of our doors if required, with various patterns available.
New solid oak door frames are also available, most commonly 95 x 70mm in section, rebated to house the door with modern weather seals. Thresholds can be solid or suitable for mobility access (Part M Compliant)
If you have the luxury of a wide opening, glazed or solid oak side panels can be added to your door frame to create more light.
Doors come finished in a base coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil, requiring two further coats or our full factory finished in a choice RAL colours.
