This solid and secure door by Browns is a versatile style that is not restricted to a particular type of home. The construction method is that of superior quality where the stiles and rails of the door are mortised, tennoned and wedged together to form a frame as the basic foundation. This frame provides a stable network of timbers skilfully machined to house the vertical planks. These planks are tongued with a bead mould or chamfer for decoration and are screwed and pelleted to hold them in place.
These doors can incorporate any glazing options to suit your needs, such as a rectangle window pictured in our gallery, to a diamond.
We supply Toughened Double Glazed Safety Glass to all of our doors if required, with various patterns available.
New solid oak door frames are also available, most commonly 95 x 70mm in section, rebated to house the door with modern weather seals. Thresholds can be solid or suitable for mobility access (Part M Compliant)
If you have the luxury of a wide opening, glazed or solid oak side panels can be added to your door frame to create more light.
Doors come finished in a base coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil, requiring two further coats or our full factory finished in a choice RAL colours.
